As well as always having a kind, radiant smile, Maya is a growing into a mature, responsible and values-driven young lady. A keen basketballer, Maya follows the women鈥檚 NBA teams, cheering on their contribution to our sporting world.听听

Maya is a much-admired big sister who loves playing with her younger siblings and is also a kind and caring friend. Her goals are to work hard and do well in school so that she can one day become a lawyer! She is enjoying Carmel High School, especially HASS with Rasto and English with our new Mr O鈥橞rien.听听听

For her Bat Mitzvah, Maya celebrated a meaningful, musical Havdalah ceremony at Chabad Noranda with her family and friends followed by fun party bus. Her听Dvar听Torah focused on the importance of refraining from gossip and lashon hara; a vitally important message for us all.听听
