At our Yom听Hashaoh听ceremony听on Monday 12 April, some听Year 10 students听dramatised听the life of the poet, fighter and heroine, Chana听Senesh, who听returned to Hungary in 1944 after making Aliyah听in order to听help her family and fellow Jews.听Chana鈥檚听poems,听set to haunting music,听were performed and the audience was moved by the story of her courage and bravery in the face of danger.听听

Our guest speaker,听Mrs Illana听Klevansky,听eloquently related the incredible story of her late听mother鈥檚听life from her childhood in Lithuania to her liberation. It was a very uplifting and memorable story.听The commemoration service concluded with the Partisan Song, sung completely in Yiddish by Aaron Levine. Log in to Facebook to听see听听of the event.听
