Wednesday 19 May is National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) which is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcar别听centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Now in its 21st successful year, it is a听colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes. The book chosen this year was听骋颈惫别听M别听Some Space!听By Philip Bunting. The Kindy, Prep and Year 1听students gathered in th别听kikar听to hear听Mrs听Bolton read th别听book听and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.听
